Over 150 women will converge in Al Ain for a two-day journey of empowerment, tradition, and celebration in honor of Emirati Women’s Day.
The iconic Abaya Rally is poised for its 5th edition on August 29–30, 2025, marking its debut in Al Ain, which has recently been honored as the GCC’s Tourism Capital of 2025. This landmark event will bring together over 150 women from the UAE and wider GCC for two days of empowerment, heritage, and adventure.
Organized by Orbit Events, the rally has a storied history with successful editions across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. This year, it arrives in Al Ain with fresh energy and vision, perfectly aligned with the upcoming Emirati Women’s Day celebrations.
Ascent of Jebel Hafeet—”She Scales Heights, She Conquers”
At the very core of this edition is a symbolic all-women drive up Jebel Hafeet—a dramatic and iconic mountain climb. Draped in flowing abayas, participants will navigate the winding ascent in a powerful visual homage to strength, unity, and determination.
More Than a Drive: A Celebration in Every Detail
The rally goes beyond its scenic drive. Key highlights include:
- Red carpet arrivals offering a glamorous welcome
- Inspirational panel talks spotlighting female leadership and legacy
- Wellness and cultural activations fostering community and connection
- A modest fashion showcase featuring Emirati designer Mariam Al Remeithi, presented during a gala dinner
These facets combine to make the rally not just a drive, but a movement of culture, style, and empowerment.
Voices of Leadership & Inspiration
Pragna Vaya, Managing Director of Orbit Events, captures the essence of the rally:
“This is more than a drive; it’s a movement of empowerment, unity, and purpose. By bringing together Emirati women, expats, and GCC trailblazers in Al Ain, we’re building bridges and celebrating the power of women who inspire generations.” Instagram+9Khaleej Times+9menafn.com+9
The event also aligns with this year’s Emirati Women’s Day theme—“Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years”—honoring five decades of invaluable contributions by Emirati women.
