NCM forecasts dusty winds and possible rainfall over eastern and southern regions.

Current Weather Snapshot

The skies over Dubai today remained sunny yet dusty, as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a firm alert for Al Ain, cautioning of convective cloud development bringing rain, gusty winds, and reduced visibility until approximately 8 pm.

This morning witnessed the country’s lowest recorded temperature—23.1 °C—at Al Heben Mountain in Fujairah.

Weekend Outlook: Rain Chances and Fog Formation

  • Friday is projected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with growing potential for convective cloud activity eastward and southward—raising the likelihood of light, localized rain.
  • Humidity levels are expected to climb by Friday night into Saturday morning, particularly across coastal and interior regions, increasing the chance of morning fog or mist.
  • Winds will blow from the southeast to northeast at light to moderate speeds, with gusts reaching 40 km/h near active cloud zones, potentially stirring up dust and sand, especially in exposed areas.
  • Sea conditions are forecast to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman, presenting minimal risk to marine activity.
