Authorities advise residents to strictly adhere to official instructions amid expected extreme weather.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office has announced that rainfall of varying intensity is forecast to impact parts of Al Ain and the Al Dhafra region in the coming days. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued alerts urging residents to remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions during this period of unstable weather.

Authorities have specifically advised motorists in Al Ain to reduce speed limits on wet and low-visibility roads, avoid valleys and flood-prone areas during heavy rain, and keep first-aid kits and alternative light sources ready in case of power outages.

Earlier today, strong winds and rainfall were recorded along the Dubai-Al Ain Road, as captured in videos posted on social media. The NCM has reiterated its warning to drivers to exercise maximum caution, highlighting that slippery roads and reduced visibility pose significant hazards during sudden weather changes.

Public Safety Advisory for Al Ain and Surrounding Areas:

  • Avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather.
  • If driving is unavoidable, use low-beam headlights, reduce speed, and maintain a safe distance.
  • Stay informed by following official weather updates and advisories from the NCM.

In addition to the rain forecast, Al Ain residents should be prepared for ongoing extreme heat across the UAE. According to AccuWeather:

  • Abu Dhabi: Currently 38°C, with highs reaching 44°C. Tonight, temperatures will remain warm at 34°C.
  • Dubai: Currently 45°C, with highs peaking at 46°C under hazy skies. Tonight’s temperature is expected to stay around 34°C.

The NCM has issued an extended weather forecast for UAE cities, urging all residents, especially those in Al Ain, to closely monitor official announcements and comply with safety instructions to minimize risks during extreme weather conditions.
